NICA is a volunteer-based non-profit that promotes Intentional Communities in the Cascadia region (Northwest US & BC). We provide information and resources regarding cohousing, shared housing, co-op housing, or anything related to Intentional Communities. Our aim is to connect communities, assist those who would like to start their own community, and help those seeking to join existing ones.
We want staying connected to feel helpful—not overwhelming. Here’s how notifications work, and remember, you can adjust your notification settings from your account page.
📬 Website Weekly Digest (Default On)
By default, you’ll receive a weekly email digest with highlights from key spaces: Leadership Team Updates, Discussions & Questions, Community Directory, etc. This is a simple way to catch up without needing to log in often. You can turn the digest on or off anytime.
📬 Website Real-Time Notifications (Optional)
Most spaces have a Subscribe button you can enable/disable. This turns on real-time notifications to get alerts when something new is posted.
📬 Newsletter
We sometimes send out a newsletter of big announcements. You can unsubscribe anytime using the link at the bottom of the newsletters.
